Promo Codes from ACX – whether you accessed them on your Promo Code Dashboard on ACX or received them from ACX Support prior to May 7, 2019, need to be redeemed at audible.com/acx-promo for US-based codes or audible.co.uk/acx-promo for UK-based codes. What rate should a producer charge? Many ACX actors are members of the SAG-AFTRA union. As members, they can accept no less than $225 per finished hour for projects or Royalty Share projects carrying a $100 Stipend in order to contribute to their Health & Retirement accounts. When determining what rate to charge Rights Holders for pay-for-production deals, you should consider: Your level of experience The amount of work that will go into your production (including script prep, recording, editing, and post production) The cost of your equipment and or studio time The amount of time you'll dedicate to the production. What does "cost per finished hour" mean? Audiobook Producers are paid based on the length of the completed audiobook times the agreed upon rate. A Producer will receive payment at the end of the upload process based on the final run time of the audiobook. When the project is complete, the system will automatically multiply the final run time of the audio times the agreed upon rate in the contract, to let the Rights Holder know how much they will need to pay the producer. Paying per finished hour encourages a Producer to prepare well and work efficiently, since they will get paid the same amount regardless of how long it takes to complete the job. How does the new Bounty Referral Program work? Getting started with the new Bounty Referral Program is easy. Publish or produce an audiobook through ACX. Access your referral links on your Sales Dashboard, and customize the URLs based on the Audible store you'd like to target. You will be able to customize your referral links by geographic market to specifically reach global markets. Distribute links with helpful tips from the ACX Blog . If you uploaded your own audiobook or produced your audiobook under our Pay for Production terms, you’ll earn $75 each time your referral link is used to make the first purchase by a new Audible member. If you produced your audiobook under our Royalty Share terms, you’ll earn $50 each time your referral link is used to make the first purchase by a new Audible member, and your Royalty Share collaborator will receive $25. Track clicks on your links through your Bounty Detail Dashboard, and when new Audible members who used your links reach the 61st day of their membership, you’ll earn up to a $75 Bounty. Increase your Bounty payments by providing links to your audiobook on your website, Facebook page, email signature, and newsletters. Bounties are subject to the ACX Bounty Program Terms and Conditions, which can be found here. What are the benefits of the new Bounty Referral Program? The award for the bounty will increase to up to $75 for sales on or after August 1. The new Bounty Referral Program will also allow you to see specific usage insights through your Bounty Detail Dashboard. You are also able to customize your referral links by geographic market to specifically reach global markets. I’d been earning Bounties as part of a Royalty Share deal. As a Producer, will I still share bounties when my Rights Holder earns a bounty? If you produced your audiobook under our Royalty Share terms, you’ll earn $50 each time your referral link is used to make the first purchase by a new Audible member, and your Royalty Share collaborator will receive $25. If the Rights Holder of your Royalty Share project promotes his or her URL and earns a Bounty, you will still earn $25. What royalty is paid on ACX? ACX authors and publishers can earn between 20%-40% of their title royalties through ACX. The royalty rate you earn is determined by the distribution option you select and the method by which the Producer is compensated. For non-exclusive distribution, the Rights Holder earns a 25% royalty and must compensate the Producer up-front. In an exclusive distribution deal, the Rights Holder earns a 40% royalty, if compensating the Producer up-front. If the Rights Holder and Producer agree to share royalties, each earns a 20% royalty. Read more about royalties and earnings here . How often will I be paid? You will be paid on a monthly basis. ACX royalty and bounty payments for sales from the previous month (e.g. sales in March 2019 will be paid no later than April 30, 2019) will be delivered by Audible to the bank account you provide. ACX will also provide you with a statement of royalties. How do Narrators or Studio Pros get paid by the Rights Holder? The payment process depends on the type of offer accepted, and if the offer was accepted under SAG-AFTRA terms. If the offer accepted was for Royalty Share , the Rights Holder does not pay the producer. All payments to the producer are distributed by Audible. If the accepted offer was for Pay-For-Production , the payment process is determined by the producer's acceptance with, or without, AFTRA H&R Contributions. If the producer does not accept "with AFTRA H&R", the rights holder pays the producer directly. Both parties must discuss the exact method (check, PayPal, etc.).
